7001 Pool Cabana
Seattle, Washington

Designed for a 300+ unit condominum development the new pool cabana was deisgned to have an open plan with a northwest vernacular. The use of paired exposed glu-lam beams, standing seam metal roofing, and wood siding is base palatte to create a new focus for the condominium site.
Concept Garden Apartments

The need for work force housing in a small coastal community is the impitus for this row house design set on a site that had an extensive existing garden. The goal of this project is to create an environmentally sensitive response to a community need at a price that will allow these units to be rented at or below market rate.
Julies Landing
Seattle, Washington
Completed: 1998
Sitting on piles over the western edge of lake union this two story + dock level commercial building used the original timber structural frame and building form to create new office and marine related retail spaces. Mike skidmore worked as project architect for abbott heys and associates on this project.
The Surfsand Resort
Expansion & Renovation
Cannon Beach, Oregon
Completed: 2007
Originally an 83 room destination hotel on the pacific coast the surfsand resort was updated, and expanded to a 109 room full survice resort. Work included the removal of old buildings, renovation of the existing poolhouse building, and three new guest room buidings strategically placed to caputer the stunning views of the coastal surroundings.
